After several years of technology development and successful deployments with customers such as Scania and Volvo, the Board believes that Gimic is now entering a new phase in which the focus shifts from product development to commercial scaling.

The recruitment of experienced business leader Therese Lundstedt is part of the company’s strategy to further strengthen its growth capabilities, expand adoption among industrial customers, and reinforce its position within industrial AI. Over the past six months, Therese Lundstedt has served as a consultant and interim CEO within the business.

Demand for AI solutions in the manufacturing industry is currently growing rapidly. The industry is undergoing a significant technological transformation in which AI and automation are becoming increasingly important for improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness. Gimic develops AI-based systems that automate visual quality inspection and process monitoring directly on production lines and is currently used by customers such as Scania, Volvo, and Elitfönster.

Therese Lundstedt has extensive experience leading and developing growth companies. She has previously served as CEO of companies including Aktieinvest, Colix, and Urbangreen, and for nearly 20 years has held board positions in both listed and privately held companies. In recent years, she has also worked as an advisor, interim CEO, and board member with a focus on growth, change management, and business development.

“Swedish industry is facing a major technological shift where AI is moving from experimentation to business-critical applications. Gimic has built a strong technical platform and has already demonstrated that its solution creates value for some of Sweden’s most advanced industrial companies. I look forward to accelerating the company’s growth journey together with the team and strengthening Gimic’s position as a leading player in industrial AI,” says Therese Lundstedt, CEO of Gimic.

After six years, Henrik Arvsell has chosen to step down as CEO of Gimic. Under his leadership, the company established itself with several leading industrial customers.

“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Henrik for his contributions throughout the company’s development journey. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Therese Lundstedt as our new CEO. Over the past few years, Gimic has built a strong technological foundation and is now well positioned for its next phase, focusing on growth, scalability, and long-term value creation,” says Stefan Axelsson, Chairman of the Board of Gimic.

Gimic currently serves around ten customers and generated revenue of SEK 13 million in 2025. During 2026, both the number of customers and revenue are expected to continue growing, while the company also plans to expand internationally.

The company develops AI-based systems for automated quality control and process monitoring within the manufacturing industry. Through proprietary AI models and software, Gimic can replace manual inspections with automated image analysis directly in production, contributing to higher quality, reduced waste, and lower production costs. The technology is currently used by several leading industrial companies and is regarded as a key enabler of the fully automated factories of the future.

Gimic is headquartered in Växjö, Sweden, employs approximately ten people, and received the Växjö Municipality Innovation Award in 2024.
